For a long time I've been intrigued by Sheffield and it's network of metalworkers and craftsmen. Ernest Wright reflects everything the city is famous for, making quality scissors and shears in much the same way as it has always done, since it opened in 1902. After narrowly missing closure a couple of years ago, it is now going from strength to strength, with a refurbed workshop full of 'putters' churning out classic designs for customers all around the world. It was a pleasure to document the workforce and some of these famous designs such as the 'Kutrite' kitchen scissors, which Ernest Wright are famous for.
